Chocolate Mousse French Toast 🍫
~16 grams of protein
– 2 slices of bread
– 1 egg
– 1/4 cup almond milk
– 1 tsp maple syrup
– butter (for the pan)
Chocolate mousse (I used 1/4 of this recipe)
– 1 block silken tofu
– 3 tbsp (40 g) cocoa powder
– 1/4 cup (60 g) maple syrup
*Make ahead and keep refrigerated!
Heat the pan on medium heat, add the butter, and cook the soaked bread slices.
Arrange by first placing one slice of bread on the plate, then add some of the mousse and place a chocolate bar in the middle. Layer with the other slice of bread. Top with more chocolate mousse and cocoa powder.
Trust me on this one. You can barely taste the tofu, it’s all chocolatey goodness! Tag me when you try this! 🤎
